Do you need glasses?
Few of the most common signs in a vision test that indicate the need for glasses are: Blurred vision (both at distance and near distance), eye strain, headaches, migraines, difficulty concentrating, and street signs that are not as clear as they used to be. If you suffer from any of these symptoms, whether permanent or intermittent, visit one of 1001 Optical Shops for a free comprehensive eye exam (bulk billing).

Do New Glasses Cause Eye Strain?
A new pair of glasses should not cause eye strain. If you experience any discomfort with your new glasses, it may be that your brain hasn't adjusted to the new prescription. Usually with persistence and increased wear and tear, your brain will adapt subtly and without any discomfort within a few days. If symptoms of discomfort and eye strain persist for more than 2 weeks, please visit one of our 1001 opticians and we will do our best to match you with the perfect pair of glasses.
Will wearing glasses cause dizziness?
Wearing glasses usually doesn't make you dizzy, compromises are sometimes made, and a stronger prescription will give you more clarity, but can cause some discomfort if you deviate significantly from your current prescription and what you're used to. Sometimes it's just a case of putting on a new prescription and allowing your brain to adjust to it (like a new pair of shoes). If discomfort/dizziness persists for longer than 2 weeks, please visit one of our 1001 opticians and we will do our best to fit you with the perfect pair of glasses.

What do you use to clean your glasses?
When cleaning your glasses, we highly recommend using a lens cleaning spray and a microfiber cloth (included with all glasses). It is always best to clean both the outside surface of the lens and the inside surface of the lens at the same time. Spritz once on each side of the lens and wipe with a microfiber cloth will keep your glasses sparkling like new!
This will depend on your reading glasses magnification or prescription, if it's usually a very weak or low prescription then it probably won't interfere with any daily activities and may even be slightly brittle for you. However, if stronger reading is prescribed, we do not recommend wearing these glasses all the time, we recommend wearing glasses for reading/iPad/computer/laptop and generally close work or concentration tasks. If you want to wear your glasses all the time without having to put them on and off, you should consider multifocal lenses.
