South Korean men's and women's hockey confirm groupings for January 2024 Paris Olympics qualifiers

South Korea's men's and women's hockey teams have been drawn for the final qualifying round for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as they look to return to the Olympic main stage.

The Korean men's team will compete in Group B alongside Spain, Austria and Egypt, according to the International Hockey Federation's (FIH) latest Olympic qualification groupings for men's and women's hockey.

Korea is ranked 10th, Spain 8th, Austria 19th, and Egypt 20th in the world.

Twelve nations will compete in the men's and women's hockey tournaments at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, including host France and the five winners of the continental championships.

The remaining six tickets to the Olympic Games will be decided in the final qualifying tournament.

The South Korean women's team, ranked 12th in the world, is in Group A alongside Belgium (4th), Ireland (13th), and Ukraine (28th).

The final Olympic qualifying tournament for both men and women will begin on January 13, 2024 in Valencia, Spain.

For the men, Group A is comprised of Belgium (4th), Ireland (13th), Japan (15th), and Ukraine (29th), with the top three of the eight nations in Group B advancing to the Olympic Games.

On the women's side, Group B is made up of Spain (8th), Canada (16th), Great Britain and Malaysia (18th), with the top three of the eight nations in Group A also qualifying.

Great Britain is represented by No. 7 England, No. 17 Scotland and No. 26 Wales.

South Korea's men's hockey team last qualified for the Olympic Games in London 2012 and the women's team in Rio de Janeiro 2016. 19가이드03
