Power Taekwondo competition in 2022

The "Seoul 2023 World Taekwondo (WT) World Cup Team Championship Series," an international power taekwondo competition, will be held at Hall 6 of Kintex 2 Exhibition Center in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, from Sept. 14 to 16.

Sixty-seven athletes from nine countries will compete for a total prize fund of $100,000 in three categories: men's team, women's team and mixed team.

First place in each category will be awarded $20,000, second place $10,000, and third place $5,000.

The women's three-man team event will take place on Thursday, followed by the men's three-man team event on Friday, and the mixed team event on Saturday.

A power taekwondo competition in 2022

The World Cup Team Championship Series is played in the Power Taekwondo style, with competitors battling for 200 points, with the winner being the first to deduct the opponent's power bar.

If an athlete commits a passive offense, such as fouling or delaying an attack, they will receive a five-second passive, during which time their power bar will double.

While passive, a successful face spin attack can deduct 60 points from the 200-point limit, with an additional 25 points deducted if the referee counts it.

In addition, differential scoring for plantar attacks (1 point) and instep attacks (2 points) will be introduced to encourage active and aggressive forms of the game, rather than the passive, forefoot-oriented game.

The Korean Taekwondo Association held the Power Taekwondo Competition for domestic athletes from 2019 to last year in an effort to improve the competition and make taekwondo more media-friendly, and this year the competition was reorganized into the WTF World Cup International Competition.

The Power Taekwondo competition has been reduced to a domestic individual event and will be held at the same venue on the 15th and 16th. 슬롯
