The professional baseball Lotte Giants made a trade to the LG Twins to acquire left-handed pitcher Jin Hae-soo (37) by giving up the right to draft a rookie.

Lotte Club announced on the 27th that it conducted a trade to recruit Jin Hae-soo and transfer the right to be selected in the 5th round of the 2025 KBO League rookie draft.

Jin Hae-soo is a veteran bullpen pitcher who joined the KIA Tigers as the 50th overall pick in the second round of rookie rounds in 2005 and played for SK Wyverns (predecessor of SSG Landers) and LG.

He pitched 573⅓ innings in 788 games in the KBO League, recording 23 wins, 30 losses, 152 holds, 2 saves, and an ERA of 4.96.

He won the hold title in 2017, and has excellent durability, appearing in more than 50 games for 7 consecutive seasons from 2016 to 2022. The 152 holds he recorded are the 3rd highest holds in the KBO League.

Lotte general manager Park Jun-hyuk said, “The goal is to strengthen left-handed pitching depth,” and added, “Jin Hae-soo is a player who can play immediately next season. “With his sincere self-management, he participated in many games and gained a wealth of experience,” he said.

The LG club explained this trade by saying, “We focused on securing future resources.” 19가이드03
