1 Plaça de Catalunya

This is the best meeting place in town. It's at the top of Las Ramblas and at the bottom of the posh Passeig de Gràcia. El Corte Inglés' flagship branch in Barcelona is right here, and if you're new to the city and want to get oriented, you can go inside and pick up a map.

2 Palau de la Música Catalana

This turn-of-the-century concert hall is yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site in Barcelona. 3 Gràcia

This area was not even a part of Barcelona until the twentieth century, and it feels like a different place because of its layout of tapered streets and small squares. 4 Fundació Joan Miró

Joan Miró, like Gaud, was a Catalan artist, and a visit to his museum will provide you with a more vivid picture of Barcelona's spirit and style. This means that there is a rare harmony between the venue and the work within it. There is a large collection of the artist's work on display, including sculptures, drawings, and paintings. 

5 Montjuïc

The art museum is especially recommended, and the views of the city from its steps are breathtaking. The Magic Fountain, which features light and music shows every half-hour on weekends, was also built for the exhibition. Of course, this is best seen at night.
