Benjamin won the men's 400-meter hurdles final in 46.46 seconds at the Stade de France on Tuesday (June 10) at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

It was Benjamin's first major individual title after finishing second at the 2019 World Championships in Doha 토토, 2021 Tokyo 2020 and 2022 Eugene, and third at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest.

Defending champion Sifan Hassan (NED) was third in 30:44.12.

Hassan, who won two bronze medals in the women's 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters, will also compete in the women's marathon on Nov. 11.

Marilady Paulino (Dominican Republic) won the women's 400-meter final in an Olympic record time of 48.17 seconds.

Paulino shaved 0.08 seconds off the 48.25 set by Paris Olympic torchbearer Marie-Josée Perek at the 1996 Atlanta Games.

After finishing second in Tokyo, Paulino struck gold in Paris, becoming the first Dominican athlete to win the women's 400 meters at the Olympics.

Salwa Nasser (Bahrain), who missed the Tokyo Games due to a doping violation, was second in 48.53.

Natalia Kaczmarek (Poland) was third in 48.98.

Jordan Diaz (Spain), a naturalized Cuban who has competed for Spain since this year, took first place in the men's triple jump with a leap of 17.86m.
